Boonwurrung Seasonal Calendar

Jaeden Williams-Briggs

A calendar that follows Country

The 2026 Boonwurrung Seasonal Calendar is a place-based cultural resource that shares the six seasons of the Boonwurrung people, Traditional Custodians of the lands and waters of south-east Victoria. Grounded in thousands of years of Knowledge, the calendar reflects the rhythms of Country through changes in weather, plant cycles, animal behaviour and cultural practices.

Not only a calendar, this relational tool is designed to support connection to place, community and wellbeing. Used across early learning, schools, councils and organisations, it invites people to slow down, observe and align with the natural patterns of the environment, offering a meaningful way to engage with First Peoples Knowledge in everyday life.
