Launch: Broken by Graeme Turner (Readings, Melbourne)

15 July at 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm AEST
Broken by Graeme Turner

Join us to hear Graeme Turner in conversation with Ben Eltham about Broken: Universities, Politics & the Public Good.

In Broken, Graeme Turner examines the collapse of our Universities, from underfunding and over-reliance on international enrolments, and addresses the path for future higher learning requiring urgent need for systemic reform. It’s an important topic, especially in the light of the upcoming election, and Graeme’s take is to emphasise the importance of higher education as a public-good rather than an economic commodity.

Graeme Turner is Emeritus Professor of Cultural Studies at the University of Queensland, most recently having authored The Shrinking Nation.

Free, but bookings are essential.

Please book here.
