Stephanie Berlangieri

Stephanie joined MUMA as Curator – Research in 2024. As a curator, researcher and writer, her interests encompass digital technology, labour and mental health, and their impacts on contemporary selfhood and social relations. She is currently an Adjunct Curator at the Institute of Modern Art, Brisbane, and has previously held curatorial roles at Carriageworks, Sydney; the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, Sydney; and the Biennale of Sydney. Recent exhibitions include Desire Is a Machine (IMA, Brisbane, 2025); Image Economies (MUMA, 2025); Duty of Care (IMA and Griffith University Art Museum, Brisbane, 2024); Salote Tawale: I remember you; and The National 4: Australian Art Now (Carriageworks, 2023). Stephanie has written for Art Monthly Australasia, ArtAsiaPacific, Artist Profile and Art and Australia.
